Talk about designing myself into a corner. Kodiak Island has a natural tilt that really suited the slanted map frame. I ran into an issue styling this legend: keeping it fully on one side took up way too much space. The lower color blocks would be huge compared to the top ones. But who says I have to keep them together? No one other than convention and I'm no good with that. I split the legend and created something pretty.
